FansUnite Entertainment Inc, a blockchain-based betting website, has recently been named an official partner of the World Poker Tour (WPT), wherein both parties will work together on cross-promotional efforts with Leicester City Football Club of the English Premier League, according to a press release by WPT on October 9.
Aside from the said shared effort, the partnership will give FansUnite perks which are only available for WPT partners, including on-site promotions and unique player opportunities at various WPT events across Asia and Europe, social media cross promotion, and international TV distribution.
“We are thrilled to introduce FansUnite to the WPT’s millions of poker players and fans across the globe through television, digital media, live events, and more,“ remarked Adam Pliska, CEO of the World Poker Tour, “and we look forward to further strategic partnership integrations and activations with FansUnite.”
The partnership will also allow FansUnite to make its “debut appearance” on the media organization QYOU’s “Heads Up Daily” (HUD) on Super Channel in Canada.
Joining WPT At The Forefront Of Gaming
Darius Eghdami, CEO of FansUnite, praised the poker organization for its wide scope and influence, even going as far as to say that it is “the class of their industry.”
Specifically, Eghdami said in the press release:
Over the last two decades, the World Poker Tour has been at the forefront of gaming entertainment. WPT’s worldwide reach, instant name recognition, hundreds of thousands of players and millions of fans make them the class of their industry. This partnership introduces FansUnite to millions of poker enthusiasts across the globe, and gives WPT partners the first look at our industry-changing technology.
FansUnite was created with the mission to improve the sports betting scene, specifically through blockchain technology to offer cheaper, verifiable, transparent, and more secure betting. It offers services that go beyond sports prediction; its protocol functions as the blockchain-based infrastructure for sports data applications, daily fantasy sports, and many other complementary applications.
