Ledger Capital, a strategic blockchain advisory and financial services firm, has delved into a strategic partnership with global browser provider Opera (NASDAQ: OPRA), the company announced October 8.

opera-_-ledger-capitalThe partnership aims to explore more applications and use-cases of the blockchain technology as well as growth opportunities that Opera products could employ. As one of the world’s leading browser providers, Opera is also a prominent player in the field of integrated AI-driven digital content discovery and recommendation platforms.

Looking forward to the many possibilities the tie-up could bring, Ledger Capital Managing Partner Ding’an Fei said:

We are excited to work with an innovator and industry leader like Opera. Opera has already taken the lead among the major browsers, with the integration of the innovative crypto wallet and investments from other leading crypto companies like Bitmain. We are looking forward to exploring the next steps in how Opera will leverage its massive ecosystem and technical competencies to create exponential value for its user base and the greater blockchain space.

In July 2018, the Norwegian browser maker integrated cryptocurrency in the web browser as we know it and became the first major mobile browser to add a built-in crypto wallet and Web 3.0 support. As a result, Opera lowered the barrier of entry into the web of the future for both users and developers. Internet users don’t have to install separate Dapp browsers of crypto wallet extensions anymore since it is already built into the browser.

Charles Hamel, Product Lead of Opera‘s crypto wallet, stated that having a crypto wallet in the browser delivers the cash experience to the online payments world. “Paying with the crypto wallet is like sending digital cash straight from your phone, and we’ve just made it easier. This opens up new possibilities for merchants and content creators alike,” he added.

Aside from teaming up with Opera, Ledger Capital has also been providing strategic, technological and financial advisory services to a variety of blockchain platforms, decentralized applications, multinational corporations and to government-backed projects and initiatives.
