Paragon, a provider of blockchain solutions for the cannabis industry has announced its opening of ParagonSpace, the first co-working space in the cannabis industry, located in Los Angeles. The co-working space stands in between Sunset Boulevard and Tamarind Avenue, officially having begun operations in September 2018.
ParagonSpace: The Cannabis Industry Workspace
The opening of ParagonSpace was kicked off with an exclusive VIP launch event featuring a host of celebrities and influencers in the cannabis industry. Matt Barnes, Chanel West Coast, Enzo Amore, along with company partners and members of the press attended the event at 4,300 sq. foot space, located in the heart of Hollywood.
The launch event gave attendees a first glimpse at the co-working space, at a party-like environment with drinks, a live DJ and gift bags. Paragon also placed technology and products on display from the company’s partners and friends. The products included those of: Dank City, Atlas Edibles, Magic Pipe, Lowell Herb Co, Green Helix, Stone Road, Aurora Elixirs, Kiskanu, Levo Oil, and Stoney Delivery.
Jessica VerSteeg, the CEO of Paragon contended that the cannabis industry is hit with several difficulties and she views that ParagonSpace will foster a community to resolve them.
The CEO said:
“We understand the difficulties many companies face by being a part of the cannabis industry, which is why we have created ParagonSpace. Within our community, entrepreneurs and businesses can collaborate, network and build in a safe, high-tech, affordable co-working space catered to those working in cannabis. By opening up to all verticals of the cannabis industry, whether you’re a manufacturer, creative agency, law firm or freelancer, ParagonSpace brings together all businesses that add to LA’s success in the market. We look forward to welcoming new Paragonians and helping the industry grow together and create a sense of community,”
Blockchain And The Retail Cannabis Market
Los Angeles is slated to become the largest retail cannabis area in United States, as it is home to thousands of companies, with more to materialize in the near future.
ParagonSpace has been strategically set near the freeway and Vine St. with street parking aplenty. This allows the building to be easily accessible to locals, commuters and out of town visitors. The co-working space offers cost-effective memberships that stamp out the costs of property rentals, permits or utilities that businesses would otherwise have to pay.
The office space has a configuration of private offices, conference rooms, flex desks, a lounge, and a green outdoor yard. It will host a number of events on a monthly basis, which include panels, workshops and partner affairs.
The ParagonSpace memberships provide access to networking opportunities and guidance from other experts in the cannabis industry. Community members will get the chance to find investors, resources, clients and services to buttress the growth of their companies.
Although memberships are openly available to the public, sign-ups will take priority for those in the cannabis space, as well as those in the blockchain, tech and creative fields. The cost of the memberships range between $449 to $3,000 per month, depending on the package a business may choose.
Anyone in the cannabis industry can purchase day passes for $30 per day, should there be visitors to the LA area or those interested in exploring the space.
Paragon has the premise of pulling the cannabis industry and community at large out of marginalization and into the mainstream. With the implementation of blockchain into every notch of the cannabis industry as it works toward full legalization, the company couples cannabis with smart contracts to help it get there.
