Singapore-based social media network JET8 announced the list of keynote speakers for its foundation’s inaugural DEN Summit, which will be held at the National Gallery in Singapore on October 18, according to its blog update yesterday, September 13.
The summit, themed “Networks are Communities”, will be discussing pressing issues ranging from social, industrial, technological, artistic, and cultural perspectives, and will be tackling the role of decentralized engagement networks in realizing the future of community building and global connectivity.
Networks Are Communities
There will be seven keynote speakers for the summit, whose reputations precede them and their advocacies becoming their chief motivation, including two-time Olympic gold medalist Angela Hucles, who is a retired American professional soccer midfielder and member of the United States women’s national soccer team. She also served as the President of the Women’s Sports Foundation from 2015 to 2017. Hucles is a regular speaker on topics of equality, anti-bullying, sports leadership, just to name a few.
Joining her is Dr. Bob Deutsche, who is a cognitive anthropologist, founding Brain Sells, and has contributed to media organization TED, the US State Department and the Department of Defense. Another fellow TED speaker selected as a guest for the summit is David Hertz, who is the Founder of Gastromotiva, dubbed as the first socio-gastronomic business in Brazil which helps train many who are underprivileged to become professional cooks and food mentors.
The list would not be complete without Genevieve von Petzinger, Senta Slingerland, Julius Wiedemann, and Victor Zabrockis, who is himself the Founder of JET8. Petzinger is a paleoanthropologist who also shares her valuable insights on TED, while Slingerland helped revolutionize Lions Festivals when she was former Director of Brand Strategy; Wiedemann is an accomplished Senior Editor and Curator at TASCHEN publishing, and has sold over 1 Million copies of his books worldwide.
Revolutionizing Social Media Advertising
JET8, which was launched in 2015, is a blockchain-powered social media platform which aims to disrupt the advertising industry with its tokenized system. Through its own apps, users are able to share branded selfies and videos with their followers across different social media platforms, thereby providing an easier way for social influencers to advertise their product or cause. As a matter of fact, the very platform allows ordinary users to jumpstart their career as brand ambassadors.
Since its launch, JET8 has been utilized by over 50 multinational brands and marketers including McDonald’s, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Pepsi, Nestle, and Coca-Cola.
Victor Zabrockis, Founder of JET8, said in a press release yesterday:
“JET8 is changing the fact of social media engagement by empowering brands and returning power back to consumers. By restoring content ownership rights and rewarding users for their contribution, JET8 technology has enabled anyone, anywhere to build global profiles as micro-influencers and earn from their influence.”
The blockchain-powered social media platform launched its initial coin offering (ICO) in March 2018, and has awarded over 4 Billion of its token earlier this year.
