At the recently concluded Japan Blockchain conference last June 27, the chairman of SBI Holdings expressed optimism towards the Ripple blockchain network.
The Japan Blockchain Conference is the largest conference in the country and it focuses on the cryptocurrency market. This focus includes a look at projects, solutions, regulation, growth, and investment. This year’s conference was attended by more than 10,000 people and was partnered with many influential financial institutions like SBI Group and Nasdaq. The conference featured guests such as Ethereum and Cardano co-creator Charles Hoskinson and Bitcoin.com CEO Roger Ver as but two of many high-profile cryptocurrency personalities at the event.
At the conference, Yoshitaka Kitao, the CEO of SBI Holdings, expressed confidence in Ripple and XRP. In a speech, the CEO said using XRP can create a more efficient world.
SBI Holdings under Kitao has held a positive outlook on XRP. In January 2016, the bank demonstrated this confidence in Ripple’s potential by initiating a multinational deal with the blockchain market.
The chairman and CEO of the bank then stated that XRP is the only firm with what he called “battle-tested” solutions that can help optimize bank operations.
Since that time, SBC Holdings has led the charge in deploying Ripple’s blockchain platform, especially with its partner banks in South Korea.
As Kitao famously remarked of XRP before:
“Surveying the market, Ripple was the only company that has delivered battle-tested enterprise solutions and global bank customer traction, including commercial deals with top banks already signed in the Asia Pacific. Distributed financial technology is undoubtedly transforming financial infrastructure and we’re excited to drive its adoption throughout Asia.”
