The reports initially came from McAfee’s own Twitter account on June 22, which revealed that McAfee had just woken up from a two-day coma. Also, he said that he received medical treatment at the Vidant Medical Center in Greenfield, North Carolina (NC).
According to McAfee, his ‘enemies’ put the poison in something which he ingested. Nothing much was said about which specific substance was used to poison him; neither did he name the ones he claimed to be responsible for the dreadful act.
Furthermore, he addressed those who ‘poisoned’ him, saying that they “will soon understand the true meaning of wrath.”
In reply to a well-wisher, McAfee claimed that “it takes more than poison, bullets or hanging to kill me. All three have been tried more than once.”
Inferring from what he said, perhaps it’s safe to assume that he was also citing those instances wherein he claimed that his enemies were plotting to kidnap him over the last years.
John McAfee and his wife Janice have been living in constant trepidation that he would be assassinated by the Belize government, claiming that he has hacked some valuable information from the said Central American country.
In response to what he said, Belize said that McAfee’s allegations are ‘utter nonsense’ and that they are the ‘ravings of a sick mind’.
John McAfee has been a staunch cryptocurrency advocate and was part of MGT Capital, which is also into cryptocurrencies.
