The kingdom of Denmark is uniting with a group of 24 EU countries in a proclamation upholding pan-European blockchain “standards and solutions,” according to Finans Watch.
The blockchain alliance between European Union nations was established on European Commission’s Digital Day for the purpose of strengthening mutual efforts of member countries concerning blockchain development.
Following the inking of the declaration, Danish Minister for Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs Brian Mikkelsen stated that Denmark will be
“the first country in the world [to] use blockchain technology to register ships in the Danish ship registers.”
“Blockchain goes across borders, and a joint European cooperation is crucial to ensure future-proof standards and solutions. So I’m very pleased that we have now signed this declaration.”
